Dynamic PR and marketing exclusively for the food and hospitality industries
This was the foundation on which Rawlingson Lane was founded in 1987 and it is a philosophy that remains key to the agency today. We pride ourselves on the fact that we really understand the food industry; whether it is the complexities of foodservice, the fast changing world of consumer, the diversity of hospitality or the latest developments in green and CSR, we make every effort to understand the issues surrounding the market, as well as the media that service it.
Our specialist approach means that we also have the time to talk to the journalists (or even bloggers) that really matter. We try, wherever possible, to have personal contact with all those people that can make a real difference to our client's products or services and this means that we are able to ensure that our clients get some of the best coverage in the industry.
The agency was set up by original directors Richard Rawlingson and Andrew Lane. Unusually at the start, neither director had any previous experience of working in an agency. Quite the opposite in fact; both left the marketing department of a leading brand to start a business that would fill a hole they had discovered in the market - that of an agency that really understood the food industry. It is this sector-focus and client-side approach that formed the backbone of RLP and which steered our unique proposition away from more traditional agency lines.
Today, this industry and client focus remains our central philosophy. The result being long standing relationships with many leading brands, and clients who keep us in their team even when they move to pastures new.
